COPYWRITER
Job Summary
A copywriter generates scripts for broadcast commercials and copy for print ads. The focus for all advertising often starts with the copywriter who evolves the campaign theme, although the advent of the art director/writer team has given equal status of the art side of creative department.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To follow and adhere to FCB Manila’s company rules and policies.
2. To hold in strictest confidence all information concerning clients’ brands, creative concepts and campaigns developed by FCB Manila for its clients.
3. To abstain from any activity or business, professional or otherwise, that is directly in conflict with the interests of Foote Cone & Belding Manila and its clients.
4. To work in close cooperation with his/her partner Art Director in developing ads, ad campaigns, posters, billboards, merchandising materials, and other creative materials.
5. To develop concepts and copy that’s strategically sound and creatively innovative, taking into consideration the best interests of the clients’ brands.
6. To uphold, defend and preserve the creative integrity of our campaigns without strain to creative-account management relationships, client-agency relationships, and agency-supplier relationships.
7. To present the creative executions produced by the group and see to its revisions, approvals, and implementation.
8. To review, evaluate, and proofread all creative work and final artworks prior to release from the Creative Department.
9. To perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned him/her by the Associate Creative Director/Creative Director/Executive Creative Director/Chief Creative Officer from time to time.
